Yampa River Valley, Summer 2014
I’ve been to “The Boat” a couple times in the middle of winter and have a fairly solid “brain image” of what this place is like. However here in late June and early July it looks altogether different. Everything is very green and lush and water is crystal clear and blue. THe skies are not quite so clear as they are in the winter, but the humidity is low and the temperature is very comfortable. It hasn’t rained yet during our visit this time,but we keep hearing threats that we should not be surprised if it does.
